The procedure to obtain a cure

It presupposes among other things a scientifically recognized air quality and a therapeutically applicable climate. The "Heilbad" offers such amenities as a kurpark and facilities for the application of local typical natural cures.

Medical and therapeutic support are natural and important bases for a successful treatment. Since these conditions are important for cure success, they are constantly examined and improved, if necessary.

Subsidies for cures are further granted by the legal health insurance companies!

To what extent are you eligible for financial assistance?
During the ambulatory prevention stage (open cure, free cure):
With the help of your physician you can determine the suitable health resort. From your health insurance company you receive the spa physician verification for your spa physician and for the therapeutic center a check to cover the cure.
The costs of medical treatment during the cure are assumed by your health insurance company to 100 %. The cost of the medically ordered cure means (baths, massages, gymnastic etc.) are carried to 85% by the health insurance company.
15% are usually required of you as self-participation. For accommodation, food supply and cure tax you receive a subsidy. Additional information will be forwarded to you from your health insurance company, with which you should place in time a cure request.

Stationary cures are, if necessary, further approved

Stationary precautions and rehabilitation cures are since 1.4.2007 obligatory benefits of old age pension insurances (Federal Social Insurance Institution for employees, national insurance offices, Knappschaften) and legal health insurance companies. In the public service aid for cures is granted.

Peat treatments and massages are also on prescription!

There is the possibility of bringing along a prescription of your private doctor or specialist (not older than 10 days). According to the cure catalog (side 119/17.A.76) peat baths and packing under (warmth therapy – ) are to be prescribed.
The contraction KT must therefore be entered in the 1. position (classical massage therapy) on your prescription form.

In 2nd. position, the supplementing cure, the moorland bath must be specified by the contraction WT (warmth therapy ) - full bath with peloids (moorland) or with moorland packing WT - warm packing (moorland). Please note that partial payment by the patient may be required., if receiving a warm packing ,

Example:

• 6 x KMT
• 6 x WT – full bath with peloids (moorland)
• or if moor baths is not tolerated :
• 6 x KMT
• 6 x WT – warm packing (moorland).
